Customize and control your project workflows with project stages

Your project workflows aren’t always a one-size-fits-all, so your project tracking should flex to those needs. With our new project stages, you can customize the terminology you use to reflect how work moves through your pipeline.

From client estimate to invoice, project stages are great for streamlining tracking with your own workflow terms.

Control Visibility and Notifications

Your project stages are like custom labels for your project work. They let you add more nuance to each of Float’s existing project statuses (draft, tentative, confirmed, etc.), helping your team quickly understand where a project is at in its lifecycle.

Project stages work with project statuses to manage how and when work appears on the schedule and who gets notified. That means as projects move into different stages, you can also select how they interact with notifications and the Schedule.

Here’s how a professional services team might set up their stages:

You decide the terminology. Your team gets clearer visibility. And your workflow becomes more predictable.

Filter by stages across Float

Filter by project stage anywhere in Float using the universal filter bar. It’s a quick way to focus on work in a specific stage—whether you’re reviewing reports, scanning project lists, or managing day-to-day schedules.

Using the filter makes it easier to monitor work at a granular level, while still keeping the bigger picture in sight.
