Simplify your resource scheduling workflow with our Asana integration

If you use Asana to manage your projects and Float to schedule your resources, this integration should make your life a whole lot easier.

Your Asana projects live in a handy sidebar in Float and can be accessed whenever you need to assign a task to your team or get an overview of your projects.

Connect your Asana account to Float

The Float account owner can connect to Asana from the integrations tab within your team settings.

Import all of your existing people and projects from Asana, or select only the ones you want to schedule in Float.

Assign your Asana tasks in Float

Click the sidebar button at the top of the page to view your Asana projects. Then, simply drag and drop tasks from the sidebar onto your team members' schedules to assign them work.

Tasks can be scheduled as often as needed and do not disappear from the sidebar.

Task hours are determined by the person's set work hours for the day. If they normally work 8 hours, any task you assign them will also be 8 hours long.

A white dot is displayed next to the task once it's been scheduled to help you keep track of which tasks have been assigned.

You can collapse projects to hide their tasks from the sidebar, or use the search to quickly find a specific project, task, or assignee.

Tasks can also be viewed directly in Asana by clicking them on the schedule to open the task menu and selecting "View in Asana".

Any changes you make in Asana are instantly reflected on the sidebar, but will not impact tasks that have already been scheduled in Float.

Tasks that have been assigned already in Asana will display the person's avatar next to them, making it easy to schedule tasks to the correct person in Float.

Drag and drop Asana tasks to log time instantly

Time trackingย can also be used with the Asana integration. When you drag and drop a task onto a person's timesheet, the time is logged in Float and available for review in your reports immediately.
