Zero clicks, zero effort: New automatic timesheets ✨

Automagic timesheets

Let's be honest, timesheets can be a burden. The last thing anyone wants to do on a Friday, or any day really, is spend their precious time logging hours worked. Ironic, isn't it?!

For teams working on longer-term or retainer-based projects, weekly allocations become fairly predictable. As a result, logging your hours is often a repetitive task that doesn't require any manual input.

We've got a solution for you.

Introducing a world first... automagic timesheets.

Now you can automate your team's time logs in Float, at a nominated recurrence.

Your team's suggested (pre-filled) hours will be automatically submitted every X days after the end of every 'week' or 'month'. For example, you could set it up so that time is automatically logged 1 day after the end of every week.

Instead of relying on your team to log their time (or managers to log it for them), you can set up automatic time logging in Float.

Set up automated time logs for your team

You'll find this option available today under the 'Time tracking' tab in your team settings. To turn this on for your team, you'll need to be an Admin or the Account Owner.

Helping teams win their time

We launched with pre-filled timesheets (based on allocated hours) to make time logs easier. We released bulk actions like 'log all' to make time logs faster. We added the option to lock logged time dates to make time logs governed. Now we've made standardized time logging a 'no work required' task—that still gives you the reporting insights you need.

An added perk is it's one less reminder email in your Friday inbox! 😅
